Australia

Key time to cruise: All year round
Key attractions: The Great Barrier Reef and the many wonders of The Kimberley

Australia’s coastline stretches almost 50,000 kilometres and is surrounded by many islands and countries making it the perfect place to start your adventure.

Neighboring countries include Papua New Guinea, Indonesia and East Timor to the north; the Solomon Islands and Vanuatu to the north-east; and New Zealand to the south-east. Australia offers many exciting experiences but two of the key attractions enjoyed by the crew are the Great Barrier Reef and the many wonders of the Kimberley.

The Great Barrier Reef

As one of the world’s largest coral reef systems it compromises of over 2,900 individual reefs  and 900 islands stretching for over 2,300 kilometres over an area of approximately 344,400 square kilometres. The reef is located in the Coral Sea, off the coast of Queensland, Australia.

Peter visited the Great Barrier Reef in 2016 and looks forward to sharing his experiences.
