Denmark

Key time to cruise: March – September
What we enjoyed: The beautiful coastal towns, which were a delight to explore.

With it’s well-preserved cultural heritage, and the Danes legendary sense of design and architecture there is so much to enjoy whilst in Denmark.

Denmark is part of the Nordics and is a Scandinavian country in Europe. It is south-west of Sweden and south of Norway and bordered to the south by Germany. The country consists of a peninsula called Jutland, and 443 named islands, of which around 70 are inhabited.  Zealand is the largest island and features the capital city Copenhagen.

Copenhagen
Especially during summer Nyhavn is the perfect place to end a long day. Have dinner at one of the cosy restaurants or do like the locals and buy a beer from a nearby store and rest your feet at the quayside.

Described as the happiest city in the world Copenhagen has a lot to offer any visitor. For those who love the arts the Danish National Gallery is a must with opportunities to see Rembrandt, Picasso, and Matisse.

The architecture is a blend of the old and new, which is best enjoyed by strolling through the city. For those who enjoy good food there is something for everyone. Whether you are into bistros or Michelin-Starred restaurants you’ll find it in Copenhagen.
