Tahiti

Key time to cruise: There is no bad time
What we enjoyed: Moorea, a high island next to Tahiti and the French influence

Tahiti is the largest island in the Windward group of French Polynesia and was a safe haven for Greywolf during stormy weather. The island is located in the archipelago of the Society Islands in the central Southern Pacific Ocean, and is divided into two parts: The bigger, north western part Tahiti Nui and the smaller, south eastern part Tahiti Iti.

11 miles off the coast of Tahiti is the volcanic island Moorea. The crew enjoyed visited this stunning island during some time off. A well-deserved rest was enjoyed by the crew on one of Moorea’s bays, which is sheltered by the surrounding coral reef.
