Key time to cruise: All year round
What we enjoyed: The Little Chapel and surrounding islands.
Described as the ‘Gem of the Sea’, Guernsey maybe small but it’s big on personality.

Guernsey is situated in the English Channel just off the coast of Normandy and is one of the islands within the Bailiwick of Guernsey. Waking up in the harbour of Guernsey is a really treat; from the harbour on a sunny day the surrounding islands Alderney, Sark, Herm, Jethou and Jersey may be seen. On a very clear day the French coastline can also be enjoyed.

Guernsey is well known for its gorgeous beaches, great restaurants and the opportunity to island hop. One of the treasures of the island is the Little Chapel. It’s a very quaint Little Chapel decorated with seashells, pebbles and broken china. It has room for around eight people and is believed to be the smallest functioning chapel in Europe, if not the world. The crew were very taken with the Little Chapel, including the surrounding fields, which are home to the famous Guernsey cow.
