Norway

Key time to cruise: April to September
What we enjoyed: The lovely Islands all around the country.

Norway is known for it’s stunning beauty and breath taking fjords’, which offer views of snow covered mountains, majestic waterfalls and lush vegetation.

It is bordered by Finland and Russia to the north-east, and the Skagerrak Strait to the south, with Denmark on the other side. Norway has an extensive coastline, facing the North Atlantic Ocean and the Barents Sea. It’s well situated to offer the perfect start to any adventure.

The wonders of the fjords can be seen and enjoyed from the comfort of Grey Wolf. As the boat journey’s up the fjords impressive waterfalls can be seen among the cliffs.  The Geirangerfjord and Nærøyfjord were included in UNESCO’S World heritage list due to their natural quality and beauty.

The Fjords are a definite must whilst visiting Norway.

The out skirts of the city are fringed by forests, hills, and lakes, making it ideal for cycling, hiking, and cycling. With history dating back over a 1,000 years there are multiple museums that outline the capital’s past. During the summer there is the opportunity to tour the Royal Palace, which is home to HM King Harald V and HM Queen Sonja. The Lofoten Islands

The highlight for Peter was exploring the lovely islands all around the country, especially the Lofoten Islands. The islands are located above the arctic circle, which means the weather changes fast during the summer. The main attraction is the awe inspiring scenery, which is dominated by high mountains as well as sandy beaches. It is also an ideal spot to view the Northern Lights at various times of the year.
